I find it a little awkward to talk about myself in “third person”, so here is a summary of myself from a rather subjective point…I have been passionate about creating “things” for as far back as I can remember. This passion provided me with many exciting and unexpected experiences: founding a metal band & touring internationally, composing for, and recording with a philharmonic orchestra (which I think turned out quite nicely, you may try the tunes on spotify), starting an advertising agency as an undergraduate architecture student, and establishing our architecture & consultancy firm Motto with my partners back in 2011. I have also been teaching at several schools of design, where I find great joy and motivation in helping prospective colleagues on their professional journey as well as facing new challenges.Our design practice specializes in adaptive-innovative spaces that are resilient in character and responsive to change. We have worked on projects in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America; collaborated with several embassies and international organizations in Turkey; and designed and supervised several structures locally; all of which helped us establish a “borderless” global identity for our design studio. I am a stubborn believer in the value of technology for a better-designed and better-executed built environment. Just like the design studio at the university, the intersection of design and technology is our main motive in prioritizing a positive and progressive environment at Motto Architecture.
