Oorvi Sharma is a Canadian architect, curator, writer, and academic. Her work on material cultures, climate change, global shifts, and modern conservation movements has been profiled by the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, ICON Magazine, SVSA Magazine, and other international media. Her projects include urban and cultural strategy, museography consultancy, and critical architecture/ planning commissions to support communities, reflect on local histories, and shape new narratives through sustainable innovation. She also works extensively with world-class institutions and organisations on special projects, exhibitions, and strategic frameworks.Oorvi is an alumna of the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, where she studied as an Irving fellow. Oorvi has been widely published in international magazines and journals. Her work has been translated to and distributed in Spanish, Catalan, French, Hindi, and Arabic. Her films have been screened at renowned, global institutions.She currently holds the position of Assistant Professor at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Oorvi has lectured around the world, sharing her contextual knowledge of the United Arab Emirates, the Western Canadian region, and the Indian Himalayan region. She has previously practised at international, award-winning firms in Tokyo, San Francisco, Boston, and Mumbai.
