Electrical Engineer
Current❖ Consistently maintains an acceptable level of equipment availability on site by implementing strict maintenance regime as advised by the OEM.❖ Responsible for troubleshooting and rectification of electrical and control faults in a timely manner and communicate same to the management.❖ Supervises the maintenance of power generation and distribution equipment on site according to OEM recommendation.❖ Develops site equipment checklist as recommended by the OEM and proactively resolve any issues found.❖ Interpret electrical, control and P&ID diagrams and use same for control system fault resolution.❖ Installs, calibrate and troubleshoot field instrumentation and metering systems. ❖ Co-ordinates the operations and maintenance of QSK60 Cummins gas and diesel generators. ❖ Responsible for the operation and maintenance of Low Voltage synchronizing panels and the Master Control Panels. ❖ Lead Quality Management efforts in the plant in accordance to ISO9001:2015 QMS Standard. ❖ Lead Health and Safety management efforts in accordance to OHSAS 18001. ❖ Monitor the service contract for the plant including local agreements and maintenance contracts. ❖ Prepares SOP, maintenance plan and instruction for the equipment based on OEM recommendation and ensures that it is implemented.❖ Responsible for efficient generation and distribution of electricity and steam.❖ Evaluate the condition of equipment based on its operational data as captured by the SCADA system and implement corrective action if necessary.❖ Track and monitor spare parts stock level and usage and raise purchase request on SAP as necessary.❖ Conducts root cause analysis of break downs to prevent re-occurrence and increase in cost of operation.❖ Monitor the performance of the site equipment and machinery through the SCADA system and take corrective action as required.❖ Generates daily, weekly and monthly site KPIs reports as required by the manager.
