My journey in the insurance sector has been marked by paradigm shifts, overcoming dogmatic barriers, and technological innovations.An economist by training, an insurance broker by vocation, and an entrepreneur by choice, I have always valued recognition based on merit and ethics through example.It all began in 1977 when I was appointed to lead the Lloyd Paulista unit in São Paulo. In 1979, I discovered a fascination with microcomputers and algorithms, a passion that continues to drive me today.In 1985, I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey by founding Intellect and Premium-PC, the first management software for insurance brokers.In 1988, I played a role in the computerization of the Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP) through the development of the FIP - Periodic Information Form, modernizing processes and statistical disclosure.In 1990, as president, I led the turnaround of the insurer for CAIXA (then SASSE), elevating it from 32nd to 6th place in the overall ranking of insurers at the time. This achievement underscored my commitment to the stability and health of the insurance sector.From 1994 to 1998, I contributed to the strategy formulation for the establishment of the Brasil Seguridade group (BB), starting from the small insurer Brasileira-Iraquiana - an incredible journey alongside professionals who continue to collaborate with me to this day.In 1995, during the early days of the Internet in Brazil, I founded Via Internet, a pioneering company in developing digital strategies for the insurance sector.Since 2002, I have been actively involved in the construction of the Brazilian Public Key Infrastructure (ICP-Brasil), crucial for information security in the country, serving as a full member of the Management Committee for several terms.As the current coordinator of the Open Insurance Committee at the Brazilian Chamber of Digital Economy, I am tasked with harmonizing the interests and demands of various stakeholders in this movement. Our goal is to enhance the offering, quality, and transparency of insurance services in Brazil.We are leveling the playing field in the realm of Open Insurance, ensuring that all brokers, insurers, and policyholders have equal access to the tools, data, and innovations that will shape the hyperconnected future of the insurance sector.
