Born and raised in Effingham County, Jim is a fifth generation Illinoisan, whose family has farmed and built businesses in a pioneering-fashion throughout the state since 1840. He is an accomplished agribusiness and serial entrepreneur, bringing extensive business experience gained from early childhood in the family global agribusinesses to early-stage capital expansion of Open Prairie over the past two decades.
