As an inclusion strategist, change maker, and community collaborator, I am dedicated to creating inclusive communities where everyone feels a sense of belonging. My work as an IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access) consultant, speaker, and educator revolves around engaging in discussions about courageous conversations, bridging differences, managing conflicts, and promoting inclusive leadership.Recognized as an Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDI&B) specialist, I am known for my community building keynotes, captivating insights, and ability to help people bridge differences and connect more meaningfully often referred to as the "Ophelia Experience." My expertise lies in facilitating complex conversations about race, gender, equity, privilege, mental health awareness, and intersectionality with empathy, compassion, and encouragement, aiming to inspire genuine, lasting changes that promote equity and create inclusive spaces.With a Master's degree in Education and over 15 years of experience in equity, diversity, and inclusion, I am committed to building equitable and inclusive workplace cultures. In 2021, I assumed the role of Founder and Executive Director of The SHINE Club, partnering with the Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic District School Board to provide a brave and empowering space for racialized BIPOC children to build positive racial identity, self-love, confidence, and resiliency skills while connecting to their school racialized community.I have spearheaded numerous groundbreaking initiatives that have significantly advanced DEI&B efforts in various companies, community groups, and businesses, increasing representation across all levels and integrating cultural diversity, inclusion, and equity. My recent work with the IDEAS4GE Project has been particularly impactful in this regard.As the author of "The CAREING Leader: Mastering the 7 Pillars of Inclusive Leadership," I offer a practical guide exploring the key pillars of inclusive leadership for transforming organizations and communities.
