Fresh Choice was a high quality soup, salad, and bakery buffet style restaurant. Fresh Choice was founded by Martin Culver, Brad Wells, and Ken Oppeltz. In the late 1980's, the company opened the first restaurant which was an immediate success. Shortly thereafter, the company raised venture funds to quickly expand throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. The company eventually went public in 1993.I provided the restaurant industry experience, helped define the concept, found the first location, built out the restaurant, developed the recipes, trained the staff, and co-managed the first location. Thereafter, during the time of explosive growth, I worked both as Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Real Estate and New Store Development.
