My job starts since the assessment of client needs identifying the most suitable call. Following this, I provide the proposal design and writing. The development of a grant proposal is supported by the assessment of innovation and business potentials. The project includes the development of a business plan, business model and market-ready strategy. Other aspects, such as budget and negotiation among stakeholders, are dealt. This model is now used as a logic base for internal CRP/ERP systems. Biodirecta.com was a website aimed at collecting Biotech/Pharma valuable intelligence. During the BioDirecta creation, I managed the full stack PHP-CSS development of the platform – CMS. Data architecture, MySQL database, and backend were internally designed. In April 2015, BioDirecta issued a partnership for the “Planet Green Chem” Congress in Milan. BioDirecta was also as the technology partner of EFIB, for the 2016 Glasgow Bio-Economy Forum.

Design of an innovative and sustainable industrial life cycle for the “made in Italy” fashion market bast-fibres. An innovative business model was developed considering the co-products and energy biomass utilization. The consultancy involved sustainable design methodologies, grant writing, project management, and LCA competences.

Antwerp Area, Belgio

Design for a feasible and innovative in-vitro platform based on 3-dimensional human bronchial epithelial cells cultures. The aim of the project was to merge the experimental data with a techno-economic analysis. During the project, it was possible to analyse the impacts derived by the integration of a new technology into the drug development pipeline. The “Individual Design Project” was the conclusive part of the Professional Doctor of Engineering program (PDEng).Data mining: development of an algorithm for the identification of strategic data in the frame of respiratory diseases drug discovery and creation of a MySQL database platform.

The PDEng program, or Professional Doctorate of Engineering (PDEng), is a post-MSc professional program oriented to technology design.This program is offered by the Universities of Twente, TUDelft, and Eindhoven (3TU). Through the 2 years of PDEng traineeship, both theoretical and practical issues of industrial technology transfer are dealt. The program provides a selection of advanced courses for an amount of further 43 ECTS. This is followed by a collective consultancy design project (GDP), in the first year. During the second year, the candidate provides an individual design project for a private company (IDP).Program admission is selective and restricted to a limited amount of trainees per year.

Delft Area, Paesi Bass

Upstream process scale-up for the production of microalgae with high lipid contents. During the project, I collaborated with a team of engineers evaluating the feasibility of an innovative approach to valorise microalgae biomass. The project assessed the numerical modelling, environmental impacts, technical-economic feasibility, and marketing topics. The final report, designed by the PDEng trainees, is the knowledge base for the industrial scale-up of the proposed process. The project achieved on time all industrial stakeholder goals. The GDP or "Group Design Project" is a 6-month design experience in the second semester of PDEng traineeship.

Fombio - Lodi

As laboratory QC technician, I was responsible for calibrating the NIR spectrophotometric system. The work was framed within the Quality Control department of a medium sized animal feed industry. The centesimal analysis by NIR permits to quantify the nutritional value of the processed animal feed.

Bict S.R.L. Parco Tecnologico Padano

Subject: "Novel enzymatic activities and innovative processes for the flavors and fragrances production”; prof. Simone Ottonello. During the internship, I provided R&D activities in the field of C6, C9 aldehydes and alcohols (GLVs). This helped to develop a new bioprocess for the industrial synthesis of green leaves fragrances and flavours. The internship took place in the startup company BiCT s.r.l., based in the high-tech startup companies incubator "Parco Tecnologico Padano" (Lodi ­Italy).

Subject: "ΔSDH4 multicopy suppressor”; prof. Paola Goffrini. The internship concerned a research on the molecular genetics of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The research studied the molecular behavior of multi-copies suppressors of sdh4 deletion phenotype. this permitted to characterize the YLR164W conserved SDH4 orthologous.
