I am a Calgary-based CFA charterholder with over nine years’ experience in investment and asset management, with a primary focus on Real Estate as an asset class. My background includes a Masters in Real Estate from Cass Business School, London, and a deep understanding of Emerging Markets finance.My career to date has been characterized by the ability to raise finance from key market participants and bring technical expertise to complex projects, all the while navigating uncertain environments. I have a strong track record in structuring and negotiating transactions and in leading teams of specialists that include auditors, lawyers, and bankers. My work has also involved collaborating routinely with leading global financial institutions and highly experienced ultra-HNW investors. In addition to raising substantial finance for large-scale projects, I have also significantly contributed to the rapid expansion of assets under management, in diverse contexts; while at the same time delivering excellent results via value-added asset management strategies. As part of my transaction execution and finance raising roles, I have been closely involved in company strategy and the setting up of new activities. In an earlier role, I have project managed my firm’s IPO on London AIM and guided every step of the process in liaison with the arranging bank and legal counsels. As part of this role, I conducted financial due diligence and led the evaluation of a substantial and complex portfolio, establishing an investor relations function, ensuring full adherence to all Exchange rules for listed companies.
