About Rodrigo Araiza Bravo

I am currently serving as a AIP/AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow in the U.S. Congress. I am broadly interested in issues of research and innovation, regional development, and workforce equity. I have a particular soft spot for policy related to quantum technologies. I earned my PhD in 2024 on topics related to quantum machine learning, simulation, and chemistry. My thesis advisor was Prof. Susanne Yelin at Harvard University. Along my PhD journey, I was a local labor organizer, a DEI advocate in STEM, and a scholar in the ethics of innovation.
