Design, coding and implementation, troubleshooting, scaling of complex Sales Intelligence (SI) multidimensional cube for client (Citrix) – using the Ralph Kimball methodology approach; combining & conforming data from companywide HR, CRM, ERP, Active Directory, Excel etc systems (such as Vantive, SAP, Callidus, Salesforce.com, Windows Domain, etc) of 60+ database dimensions, 110+ cube dimensions, 10+ measure groups, Distinct Counts, M2M, extensive use of advanced MDX Scripting as well as Time Intelligence functions, all utilizing MS SQL Server/Analysis Services 2008R2, Enterprise Edition 64 bit, for subject areas such as Leads, Opportunities, Forecast, Bookings, Quota, Commissionable Sales & Credit, Sales Plan, Headcount etc. Project included use of Analysis Services partitions (managed automatically, monthly, quarterly, annually, via SSIS); cube built incrementally and/or fully at various times of the day (8-15 times a day) on a scheduled basis. Cube size after approx 1 ½ years – 80gb with a growth rate of 0.4gb/day, user base of 300+ operations, sales, management and executive personnel. Project work consisted of all SDLC phases such as conceptualization & architecture, design & implementation (in a scrum/agile environment), tuning, troubleshooting, scaling, internal technical support and training of new staff, interfacing with business analysts and business, interfacing with Microsoft technical support for critical incidents as well as industry MVP’s for POCs (proof of concepts). Assisted SSIS team with modifying and tuning packages and T-SQL for scalability and optimization as well as the SSRS team for Cube and Relational DB reporting of drill down and drill-through reports. Provided ongoing metrics on trending and projections for capacity planning around cube usage, MDX and batch jobs trending, peak hours and top resource consumption.
