Recruited to help reinvigorate an antiquated Java web based software system provided by an outsourced contracting firm for the purchasing side of the house. Quickly promoted to the systems Lead Developer and Architect. After completion of the project, I took over as the Team Lead for the purchasing IT department setting priorities, managing the technical staff, and working with the purchasing V.P.'s to set priorities and direction of the software and business. I then migrated into the, then, undefined role of Lead Developer and Architect for all Open Systems development and architecture, while working with the C.T.O. and director to establish a new, company wide, architectural team and subsequently began leading that team managing the staff, providing business and technical direction for the company, and defining company wide policies and procedures for development. I was required to act as the promotion manager, application server admin managing the containers and performing optimizations, as well as helping to create, review, and approve the company’s technical initiatives while ensuring adherence through reviews of the project architectures produced. In addition, I helped to define the budgetary forecasts for the coming fiscal years with the director, and was responsible for the selection, hiring, mentorship, and development of new technical associates working with technical recruiters and individual submissions.

Selected to lead and manage a team of 6 developers to provide strategic planning, architectural design, development, and customer support for the server implementation of the then named Portiva company's swing and ejb based J-Port Operational Risk product, which I was also responsible for installing at the clients site. In late 2005, I began participating in company buy out meetings and searching for a new owner acting in a C.T.O. capacity. In January of 2006, the company was acquired by Asparity Decision Solutions and I served as Software Manager for J-Port where I was responsible for the rebirth and design of the product, in a web 2.0 capacity, as well as the integration of our technical assets and processes to Asparity's. In addition, I was involved in monthly customer expert meetings, RFP proposal completions, and attended sales presentations around the world helping the sales manager in positioning the product. I was also responsible for defining the budgetary forecasts for the coming fiscal years, and for the selection, hiring, mentorship, and development of new technical associates.

Recruited to produce a punch card application for construction project management which would run on a mobile device depicting items on a construction site that required review or correction and would integrate with the company’s remote servers and reporting engines.

Selected as a Java Developer to help with the implementation of many dot com projects. Promoted to Lead Developer and Architect after 7 months, where I lead multiple teams of 3-5 developers each and was responsible for the design, implementation, and customer communication for many projects with differing clients. I was soon selected to join a mentorship program under the technical director and began learning the techniques and responsibilities of good management. I was promoted to a mentored Team Lead position, and moved from Dallas, Texas to Helsinki, Finland where I was responsible for teams in Finland, and Sweden performing web and mobile development.
