Nigerians and many Africans have neglected their languages as most of them believe that English language is a measure of intelligence. The government does not help matters too as there is a shortage of policies promoting them. Research has shown that the mother tongue provokes critical thinking. Lots of people are now conscious of the need to learn about our culture. Books which are repositories of these are not accessible.
