I am part of the GIBB/Nexant consultant team in charge of the construction supervision, quality assurance and quality control of the Yaba Overpass bridge and Yaba train station construction work.

During my one year Internship with Fembuk Consult I was engaged in the:>> Structural designs and detailing of Blocks of shops for an ultramodern market. >>Construction supervision of the Blocks of shops.>>Construction of a drainage system>> Structural designs and detailing of many other residential buildings.>> I also attended design reviews and presentation.

I was able to train under experienced structural engineers, who took their time to train me in reinforced concrete design.During my training I was engaged in:>> Developing structural layout (General arrangement) from Architectural drawing. >>Manual design of structural elements in accordance to BS8110 and Eurocode 2 >>Design of structural elements with the use of some software like RCD 2000, Prota and Orion. Determine bending moments and shear forces with Beamax. Do the drawings and structural detailing with AutoCAD >>Doing the bar bending schedule and cost estimation>>We visited and supervised some ongoing project sites>>Attended design reviews and presentation.>>Attended Nigeria society of structural engineers conference at Ibadan.
