I am always looking to challenge myself and do the best job that I can at whatever I set out to do. My goal with everything do is to first learn the task at hand; Second find out what things may go wrong and how often they go wrong so that I am prepared to handle them, And lastly brainstorm on how to improve those tasks so that they can be completed better. Currently, I am on track to finish my Computer Science major in January 2024 with a specialization in Systems and Network Security. I have been able to maintain an average above 3.7 GPA (A-). I have had exposure to several different programming languages and technologies. I have programmed in Python, Java, Kotlin, C, and MIPS assembly. some of the projects I have worked on: Java desktop app that pulled, processed, and displayed public API data, an Android scheduling app for a group project, and a Java desktop business analytics application for a small business. I am always looking to better myself through education and training. I have completed a Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alberta. I worked for a few years in the oil and gas service industry up until the oil crash in late 2014. I decided to diversify my education with Power Engineering, a field where I felt that my engineering degree would be beneficial. I completed the class 4 power engineering certificate from NAIT and have also finished all of my papers for the class 3 certificate. After it became clear that the oil patch will never be the same, I decided to leverage my previous education and start pursuing a computer science degree.
