I provide my clients with (i) consulting services and (ii) hands-on project implementation support specialized in electricity and natural gas markets. Consulting Services are focused on (i) market design, regulation and transformation, (ii) market assessment, (iii) commercial asset optimization, (iv) strategic planning, (v) financial restructuring solutions, and (vi) alignment of business processes and organizational design. Implementation Support Services include (i) small assignments such as assessment of solid green field projects and acquisition opportunities or technical assistance in the negotiation of various contracts, and (ii) larger projects that might cover the management or supervision of entire project development, project financing or M&A process. Depending on the size and requirements of the project, I act as an individual expert or as a subcontractor of leading global consulting firms, such as Deloitte and Accenture. Even in cases where I am hired as an individual consultant, the necessary know-how, insights and information are pulled together to develop effective solutions and making the right decisions, with the support of individual experts in my personal network.

I led the development and co-led the financing of investment projects with a total CAPEX over $2.5B. This included: (i) all the early stage development activities such as market assessment, technology selection, vendor shortlisting, site selection, sizing, cash flow projections, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, preparation of project development plan and budget,(ii) completion of all regulatory and administrative procedures (permits and licenses), (iii) negotiation of various contracts including EPC and LTSA Agreements, Shareholders Agreements, Share Purchase Agreements, Project Financing Agreements and Natural Gas Purchasing Agreements, and(iv) management of the SPV till management teams are appointed.

I started to work in the energy industry together with the commencement of the efforts aiming to draft the Electricity Market Law in 1999. Until 2006, as Director and Energy Industry Leader of Deloitte Consulting Turkey, I technically and contractually led (i) numerous large scope and complex consulting projects that are central to the market reform and privatization process and also (ii) the establishment of energy consulting practice in Deloitte Turkey.
