SISAY, from the Quechua word for “blooming”, is a unique gathering and learning event facilitated by the Slow Food network in Peru, for young people committed to farming and sustainable food.I was part of the organising team of the first edition of SISAY in 2017, and continued as the 2019 Event Coordinator. The event successfully brought together 63 participants from Peru and Latin America.

In order to extend Peru's moratorium on GMOs, I was contracted to plan a nationwide campaign involving NGOs, grassroots organisations and experts. The campaign was successful in achieving a majority vote of the Parlement in favour of a 15-year extension on the moratorium law banning genetically modified crops in Peru (October 2020).
