Dr. Schulze Lab: Undergraduate Student Researcher exploring the idea of visualizing the floor plan of a building before even entering it through Augmented Reality and 3D overlays.Developed a prototype Augmented Reality application that used computer vision to identify a mock building and position tracking and 3D graphics to accurately overlay 3D renderings on the building based on the viewing angle of the smartphone camera. This application provides the user an "X-ray" view of the mock building's floor plan from the outside of the building. • Created 3D models of the mock building's floor plan using the Unity Game Engine• Experimented ways to overlay 3D models on large objects (buildings) with the Vuforia Engine• Developed Android app to overlay 3D floor plan on mock building in real time using Unity and Vuforia
