I am a regular contributor to the travel pages of The Sunday Times and thetimes.co.uk.

I worked on the launch issue of this new title (tag-line, ‘travel less ordinary’), created by some of the Lonely Planet editorial team.

I developed the launch issue of Lonely Planet magazine and was hired to stay on as its features editor – for the last six months I was acting up as deputy editor. Setting a high standard for travel literature, I commissioned work by contributors including TV adventurers David Attenborough, Bear Grylls and Sue Perkins and novelists such as Giles Foden, Romesh Gunesekera, Tahir Shah, Marcel Theroux, Jessie Burton, Elizabeth Day, Robert Macfarlane and Diana Evans. My article The Real Jungle Book was awarded National Consumer Travel Feature of the Year in the 2016 Travel Media Awards, seeing off competition from fellow nominee Margaret Atwood. I was also a lead presenter for Lonely Planet’s television project, fronting short films shot in locations including Greece, India, France, Italy and the US. In addition, I undertook media training and represented the magazine in numerous radio interviews.
