Designed and built a platform on AWS, using Docker instances in ECS tasks and Java programming, toimprove the efficiency of Amazon's Last Mile delivery operations by migrating business logic and implementing a federated registry with JMESPath (JSON query language) for selective data retrieval. The platform aggregated critical information from itineraries, stored necessary data, and seamlessly integrated with external systems, enhancing the delivery process for every Amazon order.Achieved faster onboarding, reduced operational overhead, and decreased developer hours by streamlining system responsibilities. The new platform enabled clients to follow a standardized contract, minimizing the need for in-depth knowledge of each other's systems and resulting in expanded customer features, lower latency, and improved overall operations.Developed AWS CDK infrastructure using TypeScript to automate the creation of platform dependencies (ECS, DynamoDB, Amazon SNS, and Route 53), improving deployment and development processes through infrastructure as code. This allowed for code review, rollback, and increased team confidence in the safety of the platform.Created a dashboard to monitor key business-impacting metrics and implemented alarms using AWS Cloud Development Kit. During the school year, leading chess clubs of groups of students of up to 15 students in elementary schools, helping establish chess as a fun academic activity for young kids.
