I am the Associate Dean of the Southwestern Law School's Donald E. Biederman Entertainment, Media, and Sports Law Institute and an Associate Professor of Law. I am an entertainment attorney and partner at Creative Arts Legal LLP. I have over 20 years of entertainment industry experience. In 2009, I founded The Film Collaborative (TFC) and am its Co-Executive Director and Board President. I served as Senior Counsel at Tubi and was an entertainment attorney at Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP. Speaking engagements include Cannes, Doc NYC, International Documentary Association (IDA), SXSW, Sundance, Film Independent, Outfest, Business of Film, UCLA, and USC.My entertainment and IP legal experience range from business affairs to development, production, licensing, and distribution. I represent writers, directors, producers, production companies (live-action and animation), and on-screen talent.More on The Film Collaborative (TFC): In 2011, TFC published and co-authored Selling Your Film Without Selling Your Soul, the first-ever multi-format case study book with real numbers and details about film distribution.
