This initiative will spearhead regulatory reform for the approval of innovative medical devices, and raise standards used in the pre-submission process of conformity assessment to quality standards and clinical trials.I assist in creating frameworks for medical device regulatory reform by interpreting and analyzing global medical device regulations including the European Commission's Medical Device Regulation (MDR 2017/745) and In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation (IVDR 2017/746); The United States' Code of Federal Regulations Title 21 for Medical Devices (CFR Title 21 Parts 800-1299); ASEAN's Medical Device Directive of 2015 (AMDD); and The Medical Devices Act of Thailand, B.E. 2531 (1988).

Health IT startup Dorsata makes EHR usage easier and quicker for physicians by interfacing standardized clinical carepaths on top of traditional software to only capture relevant information. Dorsata is an integration partner of Athena Health.I help ensure our customers receive the most value from their membership through successful onboarding programs while reducing customer churn. I create clinical care pathways based on best practices in literature to deliver improved health outcomes for patients, and work with our development team to continuously improve Dorsata's UI/UX for customers.

Master's Thesis | Professional Science Master's Degree in Bioscience & Health Policy | Rice UniversityMD Anderson Cancer Center and UnitedHealthcare's 3-year pilot program explored a revolutionary episode-based payment model for head and neck cancer care. The new payment system reimburses healthcare providers by paying a single fee covering a bundle of services over the course of a defined period of time, and is one of several value-based payment reforms contained in the Affordable Care Act.I designed and developed a dynamic executive dashboard to track pilot performance, financial metrics, and quality outcomes, allowing near-time visual data dissemination to executive management. The dashboard processed multiple EIW, EMR, and SAS data sources for 8 cancer bundles stratified through varying risk levels and commorbidities. In preparation for the pilot launch I created process maps and documents for use in critical contract negotiations with UnitedHealthcare.

Coursework | Medical Innovation and Regulations | Rice UniversitySaranas is a Houston-based medical device startup that enables physicians to rapidly detect and treat internal bleeding complications associated with vascular access procedures. Performed FTO patent search, clinical study design, reimbursement strategy, and distribution channel planning for FDA and ISO compliance. Researched and created FMECA risk analysis documents for Saranas' pre-submission meeting with the FDA. Developed a 30-page risk register as part of the FDA submission package, which ultimately lead to a 510(k) De Novo approval for the Saranas System introducer sheath.

We created a product demonstration prototype, and pitched our business plan to venture capitalists, which the instructor named one of the top in the class. I also designed the original brand logo with its signature asterisk which inspired A*Pour Toi's current logo and is still featured today.

Root-Cause Analysis for Personal Care Product:Through laboratory R&D, pilot plant scale manufacturing, consumer insight experiments, and collaboration with an external fragrance research institution, I identified causes of malodor for a problematic body lotion and recommended rectification strategies to a product they had unsuccessfully tried to address before. Six Sigma Quality Improvement Project:Developed an electronic database that different SEAA manufacturing sites could use to calculate their process capability index. By standardizing the format used for data input and calculation, manufacturing sites were able to see if their product characteristics fell within specified control limits, or if additional process improvements were required.

WMSL is one of the leading financial software companies in the Asia-Pacific region, with over 40% market share in the financial application sector. Coming from a background in chemistry, I wanted to learn more about how individuals and institutions invested their funds, and how financial software development enabled diversification. For my Undergraduate Thesis I designed and fabricated a novel "ZetaSpin" closed-cell device used to characterize zeta potential surface charge for planar surfaces. This helped gain fundamental insights in adsorption electrokinetics for applications in analyzing cell adhesion rates on implant interfaces.
