CARTO is a SaaS Location Intelligence Platform: A suite of tools and services that help front-end, back-end and data science teams provide spatial insights to help inform decisions that increase revenue and drive business performance. CSM for enterprise clients - portfolio includes Fortune 500 companies as well as several top financial services, management consultancies and retail brands in the U.S. worth ARR 2 million+.Responsibilities include:- Create success plans, conduct QBRs, segment clients into high, low and tech touch- Onboard clients: Identify product value, use cases, training needs and expansion opportunities - Monitor churn, retention and product usage metrics- Develop data science workflows leveraging APIs, Python and JavaScript libraries- Strengthen product through understanding client needs to identify product market fit- Led initiative to organize, aggregate and develop assets for self-service training platform

Served as Project Manager and Scrum Master for the PostgreSQL development team and helped bring order to the daily stand-ups. Led the redesign of the corporate web site. Created multiple tutorials and blog posts that led to increased open source community engagement. Analyzed market trends and the competitive landscape in the geospatial/PostgreSQL markets pace to develop the roadmap for PostGIS OSX and Linux distributions. Successfully promoted the company as a valuable contributing member of the open source geospatial community, thus expanding the company’s customer base.

Collaborated with NYU faculty to launch the first synchronously taught global courses in New York. Was awarded the Google GeoEDU Curriculum Grant for the labs and lessons I developed for teaching geospatial technical concepts to undergraduate level students. Led web and mobile development teams in creating custom applications for professor’s pedagogical needs. Introduced open source geospatial tools to the University’s supported offerings (QGIS, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Leaflet). Implemented cost cutting architecture (AWS cloud hosting and LAPP backend) for the development team’s needs. Set-up Jira and Agile processes and maintained project roadmaps for several global and online courses launched simultaneously every semester.

Increased $1billion budgeting accuracy by developing a web portal built to better visualize data and optimize routing. Improved data sharing across the world's largest school bus transportation system by developing and implementing processes for Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL). Saved 20% in Pre-K busing by building a bus contract-bidding tool.

Provided support (analysis, data acquisition, technical) for all five borough-planning agencies. Led bi-monthly user GIS group meetings and trainings for City Planning staff. Developed and maintained processes for automated data updates.

Configured and administered SQL Server databases. Created systems to require updates to all metadata and data dictionaries. Developed data governance procedures and policies.

Served as the lead GIS developer for Thurston County GIS Web Portal providing parcel, tax and environmental data to the general public. Other projects included: creating a custom mobile data collection application to collect well and water data; maintaining all demographic data analysis; establishing data integrity management methodology for proper metadata creation and timely data updates; developing and teaching GIS training courses to over 200 employees.
