Tentative title: Planetary Well-being Education and Action Competence in Finnish Higher Education"The need for a curriculum fostering action competence is urgent, empowering individuals to assumeresponsibility and take meaningful steps toward planetary well-being (Galvin et al., 2023; Jensen &Schnack, 1997). Research on action competence in Finnish higher education, especially in teachereducation, is still incomplete, but a national survey (n=940) reveals that it mainly influences individualbehaviours, not collective actions, and high knowledge levels do not always result in increased action(Oinonen et al., 2024). This highlights the challenge of translating knowledge into collective action ineducational practice. Innovative Learning Environments (ILE) is a research and education field that focuses on the advancement of children’s and young people’s 21st century skills. The field includes user-driven design and study of learning technologies and spaces for enhancement of learning and wellbeing, analyses of innovative teaching and learning practices, STEM and STEAM education, technology-enhanced learning, and evaluation and comparison of ICT (information and communication technology) use in education. When applicable, the research can also be directed to other phases of human life for the study of citizen’s knowledge and capabilities in society.

Teaching at this course was a wonderful learning experience. I was delighted to work with Anzelika Krastina, a former lecturer from my BSc at Lapland UAS. In our view, co-teaching is an underrated practice in online education! Based on the final feedback, 9.4 out of 10 on average had a positive learning experience with us :)

Contributed to facilitating more cross-sector (industry - academics) collaborations through outreach activities and liaising with prospective and existing members of the Crowdhelix Research and Innovation Network. Added value to the core company operations by conducting a customer experience journey and giving ideas for improvements from a different perspective. Crowdhelix commissioned my thesis work, which focussed on analysing the many opportunities brought by the Horizon Europe Research and Innovation programme in order to provide an understanding on the functioning of the EU project funding instruments.

Worked in the Project Management team and was mentored by my PM lecturer to submit a Knowledge Alliance project proposal for our university. Gained valuable set of applied knowledge on international project funding instruments and application processes through writing parts of the proposal. I was also responsible for building partnerships with stakeholders and liase with partner universities and companies for the project. Developed and impemented a strategic marketing plan for my university to expand their general visibility and brand awareness on an internatational level, starting with Hungary and Cenral-Europe. Improved my cross-border communication and networking skills as well as practiced my outreach capabilities and public speaking skills. Created new set of marketing materials and content to present from a new perspective for better growth and success rates.

It has been a great opportunity to improve my team working & communication skills, multitasking readiness and gain experiences from professionals of the sector.
