The decision to go straight from my undergrad to a Ph.D. was the result of continuous learning and growth throughout my undergraduate career at The American University. In addition to studying my public health coursework, I've sought out opportunities to develop personal and professional skills as well as my knowledge of local to global public health systems in interdisciplinary sectors. I've worked incredibly hard, and through those experiences I've fostered a deep-rooted passion for population health and the many distinct, yet interconnected, parts of it. Thus, I find myself today studying for and working toward my Ph.D in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Case Western Reserve University. As a burgeoning disaster epidemiologist and aspiring NIEHS-funded investigator, my graduate research examines the emergency management systems determinant to health outcomes in the East Palestine, Ohio train derailment. I am a driven, hard-working self-starter with an eye for detail and the goal of helping others through practicing and promoting public health.
