Leighton Contractors is the founding company of Australia’s largest infrastructure and mining contractor group. With offices in all of Asia and Oceania, the Leighton Group currently employees over 37,000 engineers, and has annual revenue above US$14 Billion. My main objectives in Colombia were:• Direct the staff recruitment process in Latin America, in order to hire engineer for the company’s infrastructure projects in Australia. More than 10 Engineers and their families were recruited from Colombia and Peru, and sent to work in Australia.• Develop and submit a Market Research Report for the construction and mining industries in Colombia and Latin America.• Create and maintain Business Relations for the company, in order to find possible alliances and consortiums to tender for future projects in the region.• Develop and submit a Complete Business Plan for Colombia, as starting point for commencement of operations in the country. This included business feasibility, expected financial forecast, expected tender success rates, office setup and staffing costs, among other topics.

My main objectives in the Corporate Office included: • Managed the Business Process Mapping, Unification and Optimization process, based on the strategic Business Plan of the company.• Managed the development and implementation of the new Integrated Management System.• Directed the project for the development and implementation of Enterprise Architecture.• Directed the project for the corporate implementation of Primavera P3e as project management tool.• Developed and implemented the Montecarlo Risk Modelling and Analysis process for the company• Managed the development and submittal of 13 bids for public projects ranging between US$20M and US$250M, in the areas of railways, roads and waterworks, successfully sinning on 10 of those 13 bids submitted.

Nace Civil Engineering (www.nace.com.au), part of the Kypreos Group, is an Australian Civil Contractor. Worked on the urban redevelopment project of Prince Henry at Little Bay, extending 85 hectares and valued at US$65M.• Managed Quality Assurance and Organizational Health and Safety for the entire project.• Responsible for incident and accident prevention, investigation and documentation.• Acted as Community Liaison Officer, including complaint management and documentation. • Managed contracts and insurances for all our subcontractors, as well as approving claims and payments.

Developed the course outline and lectured the subject Foundation Mathematics for Engineers, for the Department of Mathematical Sciences at UTS.
