From being literally born on a junkyard, I learned the meaning and value of hard work early in life. My father, a man of grit and wisdom, taught me the importance of using your mind and not just your muscle. Although I grew up in a rigorous industry, I always knew there was more I could achieve.I studied extensively in school, balancing my education with helping my father run his business. When he passed away, I was devastated and left the industry. During this time, I acquired skills in Computer Programming and Global Business Management, setting the stage for a new chapter in my life. After some soul searching, I decided it was time to return to my roots, but from an entirely new angle.When the idea of Scrap-It! took digital form in my mind, it was validated by winning 1st place at the Innovation Challenge at Farmingdale State College (FSC). I went on to further develop the business model and achieved 1st place in the entire state of New York at the NY State Business Plan Competition held in Albany.I then set out on a mission to recruit talented individuals to bring this concept to life. As both a tech founder and someone who understands the industry deeply—what many call "founder-market fit"—I’m driven by a passion to merge technology with my father's legacy, making a positive impact on the world at the same time.Beyond Scrap-It!, I am also deeply committed to creating social change. Through my non-profits Black Lotus and I AM EARTH, I empower second-chance citizens, at-risk youth, and promote eco-sustainability. Additionally, I serve on the board of Level Up and Take Off, guiding inner-city youth on their journey to becoming pilots.A man of many talents and tongues, I speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Haitian Creole fluently.
