Orville's two-decades-long career is a testament to his dedication to social change through activism and education. As a transformative leader, he bridges the gap between communities and their advocates. Navigating a double immigration experience from being born in New Jersey, relocating as a pre-teen to the Dominican Republic, and then returning to New Jersey a couple of years later exposed him to a visceral understanding of the challenges of accessing modern institutions and how personal activism opens doors. During these early years, experiencing various emotional, psychological, and other types of abuse, he was gifted with meeting caring neighbors and school professionals, who inspired in him a desire to help others through their challenges. His journey began in the political arena as a public liaison for a veteran U.S. House of Representatives member from New Jersey. Orville managed community relations, coordinated advisory committee meetings, and mentored over 100 interns in the prestigious District Office Internship Project. He also trained local government officials in federal grant applications, boosting their service capabilities. Shifting to public health advocacy, Orville became a campaign manager for the Public Goods Project. Leading the NJ Sugarfreed campaign, he reduced sugar-sweetened beverage consumption among Medicaid-eligible populations by collaborating with over 80 community and corporate partners, significantly decreasing soda consumption statewide. At TheCaseMade, Orville developed training curricula for Strategic Casemaking and led leadership workshops nationwide, empowering leaders to address housing and civil rights issues and amplifying marginalized voices. Since 2018, Orville has been an adjunct professor at Montclair State University, teaching Health Administration and Policy and co-teaching at the Feliciano School of Business, focusing on health disparities and social justice. The establishment of Morales & Associates, L.L.C. marked a milestone in Orville's career. M&A specializes in education, facilitation, and consultation for people-centric decision-making. Recently, M&A represented New Jersey’s first woman and Latina U.S. Senate candidate as Campaign Manager, advocating for affordability and racial justice. Orville's career exemplifies collaboration, education, and strategic action in fostering a more equitable and inclusive society.

Founder & CeoMorales & Associates, L.L.C. Nov 2019 - PresentNew JerseyAfter 15 years dedicated to transforming communities through various professional engagements, the COVID-19 pandemic was a magnifying glass, revealing our civil dysfunction. This experience led to the conclusion that solutions to issues like housing, racial justice, economic equality, small business growth, right to counsel, and others cannot be addressed in organizational silos. Through a blend of consulting, facilitation, and moderation, we deliver the following services: Cohort Style Leadership Workshops: Using "Pragmatic Activism" as a proprietary strategic approach for motivating and educating communities to commit to sustainable long-term social change. Teach participants to identify and act on intentional and reasonable actions that align politics, culture, economics, and philosophical intentions for more impactful decision-making. Offer an educational framework that can be replicated internally so coalitions and associations can align their people's power with policy priorities. Facilitation and Moderation Services: Recruited, Interviewed, and Reported on a focus group dedicated to media consumption in Urban Communities on behalf of Montclair State University, Center for Cooperative Media. Designed and facilitated training modules for TheCaseMade, a narrative research and leadership development firm dedicated to addressing social justice issues around housing, economic development, and child welfare in Texas, California, New Jersey, Connecticut, Michigan, Virginia and Arkansas. Provide role-playing services to help participants practice navigating around dominant narratives that negatively impact our ability to find common ground with decision-makers. Strategic Execution Services: Strategic planning and execution services for outreach campaigns such as Campaign Manager for Patricia Campos-Medina Historic U.S. Senate campaign for New Jersey, and The Grunin Foundation’s Field Trip to New Jersey’s State House. -
