Directed all aspects of project planning, implementation, scheduling, risk management, and special programs for up to 400 technicians across 9 different specialties. Here are several ways I added value:✅ To prioritize customer needs, I developed and communicated policy and procedure that drove operations. At the same time, I coordinated and managed budget resources while balancing productivity, quality and safety.🛫 After examining work performance data, pinpointing excessive costs and developing field-level procedures, I saved $300K in costs and completed a hydraulic system rebuild project 6 months faster.✅ By evaluating key performance indicators (KPIs) and statistics, I successfully identified the root cause of issues and pinpointed positive and negative trends, while simultaneously addressing training needs and deficiencies in policies and procedures.🛫 I directed a 24-month career field synchronization project that united 3 maintenance specialties and crafted training parameters to add ~100 new tasks to the certification process. Also, I successfully completed this project 6 months ahead of schedule.✅ Besides overseeing a multinational project that integrated cash and recovery capabilities into the Romanian and Belgian Air Forces, I directed curriculum development and targeted training of maintenance best practices.🛫 While heading the organization’s COVID-19 response project, I designed and implemented protective measures that significantly lowered risk to the team while at the same time ensuring zero delays in distributing 10M COVID test kits throughout the globe.

For this role, I planned and delegated project priorities for ~205 personnel that maintained, repaired and inspected various aircraft. Oversaw special access programs, workflow scheduling, safety and maintenance quality. Made aircraft flight-readiness decisions in high-pressure, fast-paced setting.Some of my achievements include:✅ To proactively target faulty parts in the supply system, I developed a ‘bad actor’ database after performing a root cause analysis of flight delays or ground aborts. In doing so, I successfully cut repeat occurrences by 36% and decreased aircraft downtime. This process was benchmarked at the organization and sent to all DoD agencies.🛫 I sought the opportunity and need for continuous improvement by combining 24 large-scale inspection items and 8 aircraft heavy maintenance contracts that facilitated 3K training hours and produced 17 new certifications, I successfully revamped the organizational training process.✅ By using historic data, I pinpointed needs for additional training or new maintenance practices and effectively cut deferred discrepancies to ~80%. I was awarded USAF-wide Maintenance Supervisor of the Year (Lt. General Leo Marquez Award).🛫 In addition to mentoring and training the team, I performed over-the-shoulder inspections and guaranteed quality maintenance work in accordance with technical specifications.

I coordinated the execution of all scheduled, unscheduled and yearly inspections to enforce and communicate technical directives, operating instructions, quality standards and OSHA safety rules in support of 1,100 maintenance technicians and $5.5B of F-16 aircraft, equipment and assets. I also maintained extensive documentation of all QA inspection findings, statistics and discrepancies for trend analysis.Below are a few of my successes:✅ After uncovering an issue with the landing gear technical order that was causing faulty component installation and leading to metal fracture, I joined forces with a metallurgy expert to pinpoint the root cause and create new technical instructions used F-16 fleet Air Force-wide to prevent serious damage and catastrophic safety hazards.🛫 I personally investigated metrics and crafted ‘cross-tell’ reports for 5 aircraft and equipment incidents. In addition to validating repair actions, I proposed corrective methods and published IRs to better educate technicians and avoid repeat occurrences.✅ Besides overseeing one-time inspections and time-sensitive component replacements (TCTOs), I revised and validated all negative outcomes and QA reports and made the final decision regarding the outcome.🛫 To guarantee awareness of risks and hazards, I created safety trainings and daily briefings while performing thorough safety inspections. I also enforced security regulations like patrols and line badge checks.✅ By assessing weekly and monthly QA reports, examining key performance indicators (KPIs) and identifying positive and negative trends, I successfully pinpointed training needs to propose effective corrective actions. Additionally, I executed staff training and established improved policies or procedures when needed.🛫 In addition to instructing technicians to produce quality products in accordance with regulations, I searched for deficiencies and addressed adverse trends with training, slashing QA fails by 3%.

I ran the maintenance, repair and inspection of all aircraft systems such as avionics, fuels, electrical, environmental, engines, structural and phase inspections, sheet metal repair and corrosion control. I also conducted pre-, through- and post-flight inspections as well as launch and recovery, ground hauling and fueling.My accomplishments in this role include:✅ While maintaining extensive documentation of AFTO 781 forms, I confirmed all information was entered correctly into certified historical documents using the IMDS maintenance database.🛫 I directed the allocation, serviceability and accountability of $11M in tools, including calibrated Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) tools.✅ To effectively diagnose and resolve malfunctions on aircraft systems, I used technical data, block and wiring diagrams, manuals, service bulletins, engineering data and pilot communication.
