• Lead the Middle East service support team GCR( global Computer Resources)• Participate, and offer leadership in, the global service support team – maintaining hub, vessel and remote in-country centre seismic data processing computer systems worldwide • Supervise and provide GIT (Global IT) & GSS (Global shared services) functions to Middle East region liaising with the global organizations where necessary.• Initiate and lead planned projects which either significantly reduce the cost of, or increase the capacity of current and future seismic data processing systems. A project plan will always be written prior to work starting. Other supporting activity may include running suitable test programs, analysis of results, and written reports to demonstrate price-performance gains.• Devise and implement design changes which make incremental improvements to the performance, stability and usability of existing seismic data processing systems. • Oversee the installation of data processing computer systems, and peripheral operations ensuring that in-service function reaches or exceeds the design specification.• Interact with vendors and suppliers for purchasing and after sales support of HW and associated SW, with an emphasis on obtaining value for money, level of service, & errata correction.• Support the Support management team with technical advice and recommendations about new processing systems.• Support DP Regional managers with technical advice for new ventures and regional expansion projects.• Liaise with the Processing & Technology organisation to optimise the interaction of hardware and seismic processing application software to maximize throughput.• Provide training to Level 1 and 2 support engineers & operators.• Responsible for the continuous improvement, implementation, and monitoring of the Quality Management System; its policies, processes, procedures, and related documents.
