As North American Development Program Manager for Fujitsu’s highly successful FLASHWAVE 9500 Packet Optical Networking flagship product, led the successful development and introduction of a next-generation hardware/software platform through competitive tier-1 bake-offs, lab trials and deployment of 4 major system releases.In this role, planned and oversaw the execution of development activities of a matrix team of 200+ engineers in various disciplines, including Systems Engineering, Hardware Development, Physical Design, FPGA/ASIC Development, Software Development and System Test. The program included 100+ software engineers working on a single common code bas and achieved a sustained 3x performance improvement (schedule, cost, defects) over legacy projects.The FLASHWAVE 9500 program earned the FNC President’s Award the year it was launched.Organizational responsibility for four director groups contributing to various development programs at Fujitsu.

Managed two director-level groups in North America, delivering embedded software for Fujitsu's SONET platforms.Built a new development group responsible for GMPLS control plane delivery on multiple products.Modernized software tools and processes, such as introducing C++ and Object-Oriented Design in an embedded environment (a first for telecom at Fujitsu) and FlexeLint for static code analysis. Drove upgrade and standardization of SDLC.
