I have over a decade of experience integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles within healthcare, academic, construction, and not-for-profit organizations and have held leadership, frontline, and consultative roles influencing change at the individual, organizational, and systems level. I hold a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Simon Fraser University in B.C. and I am presently pursuing an Advanced Certificate of Leadership at the University of Alberta. I am a PROSCI Change Management Practitioner, and have a Foundations Certificate in Public Participation from the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2). Recently, I completed the Certificate of Psychologically Safe Workplaces at the University of New Brunswick. Over the years, I have developed and designed DEI and anti-racism strategies, action plans, and recommendations, as well as psychological safety action plans for leaders and employees. I review programs, initiatives, policies, and practices through a DEI lens and GBA+ framework. I have been instrumental in patient and employee advocacy, and supports workplace discrimination investigation, providing expert DEI advise and consultation to HRBPs during the investigation process. I can be relied upon to provide subject matter expert advise and consultation to and influence leadership at all levels, and employees. I have actively participated and contributed in working and advisory groups as the DEI subject matter expert, reviewing and revising policies, practices, and resources. I have extensive experience in DEI best practices; people leadership, coaching, and mentoring; developing, planning, implementing and maintaining DEI programs; stakeholder engagement; community engagement; program design and execution; facilitating effective internal and external partnerships; establishing DEI principles and values in policies, practices and processes; equity audit; data collection and analysis; education and training; and providing learning, advise and capacity-building to employees and leaders on DEI matters related to hiring practices, strategic planning, and policy development.
