As a Design Lead at Big Cabal Media, I manage a team of Product Designers who create web products that showcase authentic African stories and support the company's growth and revenue goals. I oversee UX analysis and improvement of existing products, drive the articulation of business and team goals, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver user-friendly and impactful solutions. I also led the brand design and web experience direction for Moonshot by TechCabal, a successful tech event that attracted over 2000 attendees and startups across Africa.I have over 4 years of experience in product and marketing design, working with SaaS and media companies. I am passionate about community and serve as the Community Manager at Àṣà Coterie, a multidisciplinary community of African designers that evangelizes the benefits of good design and aims to get more Africans into design. I facilitate and recruit speakers for Àṣà Sessions, online events where experienced designers share their knowledge and tips. I hold a BSc in Building Construction Technology from the University of Lagos and have completed several design courses and certifications from Figma, Shift Nudge, and The Interaction Design Foundation. I am excited about opportunities in Web3, particularly the metaverse and blockchain technology.

My work took it from stakeholder's concept notes to a fully-working newsletter that grew from 0-20,000 subscribers within H2 of 2022. - Led conceptualisation of the Money by Zikoko Newsletter which goes out to roughly 30,000 subscribers every Monday with average open rates of 12% and click through rates of 2.84%. I was instrumental to defining the structure, brand style and creating illustrations which contributed to an overall immersive content experience for readers while serving high-visibility partner ads which contribute to revenue goals. - Designed and built the 2022 Z! Fest event (Class of '22) minisite which saw over 10k visits contributing to generating $30,000 in event revenue.
