I have taken my company in various directions since the outset from working alone to having many staff and taking on large projects; travelling around the UK and finding new challenges and skills along the way. Took on a full time agency cover role alongside my self-employment to gain experience and work with a team of engineers and electricians. The role included daily PPM (planned preventative maintenance) tasks and to be reactive to call outs and to assist other engineers during daily duties at the hospital. Tasks included in my role gained me experience working with UPS backup systems; working on large generator sets; working on large switchgear; maintaining pump sets and commercial boiler systems; repairs on electrical systems in use since 1960; working with hospital staff in wards, operation rooms, ICU; nurse call system repair and replacement; electronics repairs to failed equipment; learning the site and all passageways, distribution boards and how every system functioned to aid call outs and repairs

Carried out tests and inspections to verify conformity with specifications and standards across a wide range of services and environments nationwide day or night. Took responsibility for testing, maintenance and fault finding on electrical engineering plants, equipment and services. Conducted Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) testing and remedial repairs for domestic, landlords, small commercial shops, large commercial offices, nurseries, schools, hospitals & factories. Duties and tasks performed included but not limited to the following: - Portable Appliance Testing (PAT testing) - Fixed Wire Testing (EICR) - Risk Assessments & Method Statements - Thermal Imaging Surveys - Emergency Light Testing, Inspection & Repair - Asset Management I continued a working relationship with the company after leaving as a subcontractor for 3 to 4 years.

Installing cabling in an office block in central London. This was some work experience as part of becoming fully qualified.
