Training and supporting state entities (agencies and higher education systems) in the area of state benefits, including state and federal laws as it relates to benefits. I am considered a “benefits guru.” I introduce benefits to employees in such a way that they always leave with a thorough understanding of all that is available to them. When I train benefits administrators and/or leadership in benefits, they recognize that I know my subject matter. Any time there is a question or concern, I am usually the first person employees and employers call because of my expertise. It is also well known that I can and will back up all my information and advice.Services include being a temporary benefits administrator while organizations search for a full-time benefits administrator and/or training new benefits administrator. I am well versed in all that the Public Employee Benefits Authority (PEBA) has to offer (insurance and retirement), including the use of their electronic systems (EBS, MyBenefits, EES, and Member Access). I have also worked in the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS) for over 12 years with experience in the modules for time, leave, benefits, actions (PA40) and reporting (BEX). I also have experience in Colleague (Ellucian) payroll/benefits modules (i.e., BNDS, PYHR, EMPS, NAE).
