From the moment Oscar took up photography as a career in 2009, he has continually pushed himself to master everything that makes a top level photographer, even if the path he has taken was not a conventional one. This is, however, part of what makes him unique. With each branch of photography Oscar has delved into, he has added many quivers to his proverbial bow and enhanced his approach to all the aspects of the field.Starting as a cadet photojournalist to assisting fashion and commercial photographers and travelling around the country to photograph corporate portraits and events, then beginning his own business taking stylized headshots, photographing events, weddings and business portraits with such wide experience, Oscar is not as much a jack of all trades but a specialist in the areas of photography he most enjoys.
Listed skills include Nightclub, Photographic Lighting, Editorial, Blogging, and 4 others.

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Sydney, Australia
I was the primary photographer for Visionair Photography, working as a contractor. In this role, I was commissioned to photograph commercial portraits and events in the corporate sector, tabletop product photography for ecommerce and assist with drone flying and video production. I travelled around Australia numerous times with studio lighting equipment in tow to photograph the staff of dozens of Westpac branches. Here I received a drone pilot qualification, learned to manage logistics with extensive national travel, hauling studio equipment and shooting in unfamiliar and unpredictable environments under tight deadlines, processing/ editing on the go and delivering files within hours of the shoot.
Surry Hills
From occasionally shooting food and beverage and nightclub photos of guests, I became the photographer in residence for the club and sister restaurant Rosie Campbell's on a freelance basis. I worked every Friday and Saturday night, sometimes more, processing and editing into the early hours of the morning to provide same-day image turnaround, for social media posts and web galleries the next day. Here I continuously evolved my photography techniques for nightclub/ party photos and learned to come up with new ways to shoot the same venue while keeping it looking fresh. I learned to get the most out of Lightroom preset filters to enhance the vibe and feel of the venue.
Sydney, Australia
Beginning with a three month internship that extended to 5 months - I worked under the guidance of Chief Photographer Daniel Boud covering all content types for Time Out Sydney including, portrait, events, food & Beverage and arts. I worked with the editor and journalists on dozens of jobs at late notice, using my own initiative to organise the shoot with the subjects. Here I bolstered skills in food and beverage photography, coordinating with photographic subjects/ image submission under deadline and covering events from promotional and marketing perspectives. Since the completion of the internship, Time Out and sister brand Bottled Lightning Co. continue to hire me for event coverage photography.
