Seeking to utilize my skills in creative thought, critical thinking, and team working and leverage my mechanical engineering studies to grow and develop my technical, administrative, and organizational skills within an engineering environment. I am currently a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at California State University of Los Angeles. I firmly believe that with my engineering coursework, passion for problem solving and my innovative thought process, I can be considered an asset to your program.As an undergraduate in the engineering program at Cal State LA, I have managed to successfully balance a rigorous course load and a 35 hour work week. Throughout my college career I have developed skills in 3-D design with programs like Solidworks and programming using Matlab. For example, in my Intro to drafting course I lead a group of 5 people and designed both a pencil dispenser and stirling engine using Solidworks. We then used these designs to build an actual fully functioning model of each. We successfully met all the requirements and deadlines for these projects. I have also found interest in courses such as Heat Transfer and Fluid Mechanics. I am currently enrolled in Heat Transfer 2, HVAC as well as Machine Design 2, to further my knowledge in these topics. Along with these engineering focused skills, I have acquired very strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills which I believe are very important traits one must have in an engineering environment.
