Managed case load including individual sessions, family sessions, substance use assessments, case management. During this role I also led substance use groups with adolescents, women and men with a substance use focus on CBT, DBT, and Psycho-education.

Provided brief counseling, emergency therapy, educated individual on local resources, coping skills, and a variety of mental health and substance use materials. This role also included effective organization-wide communication, follow up calls, filling of petitions, and deescalation. Some case management present.

After returning to Iowa thanks to my mothers successful beating of breast cancer, I was promoted to a Lead position as a result of my work there from October to January. Unfortunately due to all the changes and supervisory staff I decided it best for my own mental health to remove myself. Rumor has it that since my resignation the supervisory team and the new director are making great strides and improving the issues pointed during my resignation. I am excited to see this place continue to grow and improve.
