Technical Analyst
CurrentThe title of Technical Analyst is intentionally broad as it reflects my skillset but my core competencies are in Information Technology and Electronics. My two prominent clients are in Construction and Farming respectively, while others vary between Architecture and Fuel Stations.I've been looking after my first client for nearly 10 years and managing all their IT Assets (procurement, config, maintenance and licensing). Including laptops, desktops, servers, networking, CCTV and connectivity. In addition I am their goto for anything IT / Electronics related and manage most of their tickets remotely unless hardware related. We've built a relationship where I'm their first point of contact for advice and dependable service. They know they can rely on me to resolve any technical challenge they may have in a timely manner.Over the last year and half I've nurtured a relationship with a client in the Agricultural Sector. Their initial requirement was simply for IT Support and connectivity but that soon expanded to automation, instrumentation and data analysis leveraging my past experience. I've assisted them to digitise their recording systems, crop & fertigation analysis and temperature & humidity controls.I'm always a quick phone call away for all my clients as well and often resolve their issues after-hours to reduce their downtime during business hours.I'm probably a terrible sales person by standard metrics but I pride myself in my customer service and I believe my existing customers are my main sales channel. I enjoy the varied work offered in this role as I'm always eager to gather new knowledge and skills.- Windows OS (7, 10 & 11)- MacOS and Linux (Debian based distros mainly)- Networking (LAN, Wifi, Mesh, Extenders & Repeaters, P2P Wireless, 3G, LTE, Satellite, LoRa)- Radio (VHF/UHF Mobile, handheld and repeaters)- Microsoft Office 365, Exchange, Sharepoint, Teams, Video Conferencing.- Virtualization (VMware/Veeam, KVM, Proxmox, VirtualBox)
