The title of Technical Analyst is intentionally broad as it reflects my skillset but my core competencies are in Information Technology and Electronics. My two prominent clients are in Construction and Farming respectively, while others vary between Architecture and Fuel Stations.I've been looking after my first client for nearly 10 years and managing all their IT Assets (procurement, config, maintenance and licensing). Including laptops, desktops, servers, networking, CCTV and connectivity. In addition I am their goto for anything IT / Electronics related and manage most of their tickets remotely unless hardware related. We've built a relationship where I'm their first point of contact for advice and dependable service. They know they can rely on me to resolve any technical challenge they may have in a timely manner.Over the last year and half I've nurtured a relationship with a client in the Agricultural Sector. Their initial requirement was simply for IT Support and connectivity but that soon expanded to automation, instrumentation and data analysis leveraging my past experience. I've assisted them to digitise their recording systems, crop & fertigation analysis and temperature & humidity controls.I'm always a quick phone call away for all my clients as well and often resolve their issues after-hours to reduce their downtime during business hours.I'm probably a terrible sales person by standard metrics but I pride myself in my customer service and I believe my existing customers are my main sales channel. I enjoy the varied work offered in this role as I'm always eager to gather new knowledge and skills.- Windows OS (7, 10 & 11)- MacOS and Linux (Debian based distros mainly)- Networking (LAN, Wifi, Mesh, Extenders & Repeaters, P2P Wireless, 3G, LTE, Satellite, LoRa)- Radio (VHF/UHF Mobile, handheld and repeaters)- Microsoft Office 365, Exchange, Sharepoint, Teams, Video Conferencing.- Virtualization (VMware/Veeam, KVM, Proxmox, VirtualBox)

Technical Specialist

Spacemed Pty (Ltd)

East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa

Joining Spacemed on a 3 month contract, We developed two main projects surrounding low-latency video conferencing. The first was a mobile video conferencing solution packed into a tough Pelican case which enabled teams within the Dept. of Education to collaborate remotely for meetings and training. The Eastern Cape, South Africa, is generally very rural with poor infrastructure. The cases consisted of an All-in-One PC built into the case lid (with wireless keyboard and mouse), an HD projector, wireless microphone, speakers, PTZ Camera with remote and small audio mixing desk. The setup was generally done in a classroom with the stream projected on to a wall with the camera in front and a floating microphone for Q&A. Setup took about 15min and the connectivity requirement was as low as 256kbps. The whole unit could be powered by either 220V mains power or a 12Vdc supply such as a car battery. The second solution was for a dentistry theatre at a local public hospital where multiple cameras were used and streamed to an auditorium as well as broadcast to remote academic centres. The solution consisted of four cameras in the theatre; corner wall mounted (Theatre View), ceiling mounted (Top View), head-mounted on the surgeon (FPV), an inter-oral camera and lapel microphone. The auditorium consisted of two 60" touch screen monitors streaming the theatre cameras and the second of the external audiences. A wireless mic for the host and speakers for audio from the theatre and Q&A from the external audiences. For the demo three procedures were performed for different patients, four remote audiences and 47 attendees in the local auditorium. Both projects were incredibly interesting from a technical perspective and I enjoyed working with the various stakeholders from inception stage all the way through to delivery. Definitely high pressure results-driven challenges which were executed on time and within budget.

Technical Marketing Analyst

Xcapewithus

Palma Area, Spain

An amazing opportunity arose in Palma de Mallorca in the travel industry. Initially I was tasked to setup the infrastructure and system for their new call centre based on Asterisk running on Ubuntu. In the final stages of this project I was asked to research "Search Engine Optimisation" in order to have website pages appear higher in Google and other search engines. This was right at the beginning of what has become a huge industry.Working with the Development Team to created and tailored different tactics and carefully monitored results with mostly Google Analytics and manually using spiders/crawlers and VPNs.Working more closely with the Dev Team, and monitoring our competitors, I noticed opportunities for improvements in usability for visitors/clients to our website. This lead me down an intensive rabbit hole of UX development and A/B testing in order to gain the best conversion rate possible.I was later handed the Online Marketing portfolio to broaden and optimise our ad spend.Search Engine OptimisationSearch Engine Marketing (CPC, CPM, CPA, CPO)Google AnalyticsAffiliate Program Implementation and Management Affiliate Marketing & Affiliate Management (I was an affiliate in my own capacity as well.)Email Marketing (Design, tracking, content and list segmentation)Customer Database SegmentationBusiness Analysis (Improving efficiencies, consolidating data silos, implementing workflows)Process Control (Contracts Management)Graphic Design (Front & Back Ends, banners and display ads)UX Design (Customer navigation, engagement opportunities and touch points)Website Conversion Optimisation (AB Testing with Dynamic Tags)Customer Retention (Reviews, referrals, recommendations, follow-up campaigns and feedback)Customer Up-selling Strategies (Insurance, Car Rental, Shuttles, future plans)Call Centre Consultant Development and Training (Scripting, teasing additional data)Content Creation and Management (CMS, Copyright, Content accuracy)
