Plant Engineer
Current* Proactively lead manufacturing process improvements.* Monitor and adhere to the PUROLATOR EFP Quality System.* Support all continuous improvement initiatives as required.* Manage capital, productivity, safety and environmental projects when assigned.* Support the sales group during the quotation process for products requiring specialmanufacturing plans and non-standard quality plans.* Develop and manage a plant manufacturing standards reference manual.* Produce special reports using production data when requested according to management criteria.* Document all plant manufacturing processes.* Develop a system for documenting and updating plant work instructions.* Develop and maintain a building floor plan, including details of manufacturingmachinery placement.* Review manufacturing operations and make recommendations to improve efficiencythrough production line balancing* Produce and publish a weekly statement of project status (timelines and cash flow).* Maintain all engineering and project related documents for review.* File and manage all customer drawings created by the engineering department.* Manage a library of all raw material properties for reference purposes.* Provide engineering support for sample analysis and failure-mode analysis from customer supplied samples when requested.* Support and follow up on all operations to request samples of new products for customers when required.* Support trials and prototype testing runs for new customer parts as required.* Produce periodic reports as requested showing engineering metrics.* Develop and manage a method for tracking all production tooling.* Act as the primary site contact for all environmental issues.* Develop engineering metrics as requested.* Act as the engineering manager's representative when requested.
