Advise the U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations on issues in the Western Hemisphere taken up by the UN Security Council (UNSC) and the UN General Assembly. Lead expert-level negotiations on UNSC resolutions, in close coordination with the Department of State and National Security Council. Serve as Acting Deputy Political Counselor for the Americas, Middle East, and Asia team. Advise the Ambassador on official visits and presidential delegations in her role as a member of President Biden's Cabinet. Served as Control Officer for the President of the United States to the UN General Assembly. U.S. Embassy Tunis, Tunisia — Political Section April 2022 - August 2022• Served as the lead reporting officer in the lead-up to Tunisia's historic constitutional referendum; chaired the Elections Working Group and drafted a Mission-wide reporting and communications engagement plan and directed a command center monitoring the vote. U.S. Department of State, Executive Secretariat — Operations Center Jan. 2017 - June 2018• Directly support the Secretary of State's diplomacy with foreign interlocutors, drafting official memoranda of conversation. Work in shifts to provide 24/7 coverage, including of crisis task forces.U.S. Embassy in Brasilia, Brazil — Political Section 2015 - 2016• Coordinated Mission-wide reporting on human rights, racial justice, trafficking in persons, migration, child labor, and religious freedom; external politics reporting; served as acting Special Assistant to the Ambassador.• Secured and managed $400,000 in grant assistance for multi-city women and girls’ empowerment project; worked in tandem with public affairs. U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai, China — Consular Section 2012 - 2014• Institutionalized outreach efforts in provinces with a population of 200 million; managed the section’s social media accounts and English-Chinese content. • As team leader of 10 officers and local staff, managed operational flow of the visa line; served as American Citizens Services officer and liaison with Chinese law enforcement officials. • International rotations: Port-au-Prince, Haiti and Luanda, Angola. U.S. Embassy in Brussels — Political Section Summer 2011 • Covered migration and refugee policy, and countering violent extremism efforts during Belgium’s internal political crisis.
