Results-driven mechanical engineer capable of getting things done. 5+ years of semiconductor industry experience in the design of precision mechanical systems, mechatronics, and optics. Proud first-generation graduate.I began my career early on during undergrad at San Jose State University. As a full-time student, I picked up a part-time internship, at the start of my junior year, where I was introduced to the semiconductor industry. Here I was introduced to systems engineering by becoming responsible for supporting company systems, valued at $50-100 thousand, from in-house development to end-customer assistance. As an undergrad senior, I picked up a new internship conducting research and devising protective strategies for multimillion-dollar electron beam systems. I designed precision mechanical systems and test stations through CAD modeling and automation programming. I was able to automate a testing procedure and reduce user time required by over ten times, from a few hours to a few minutes. I worked here until I finished my bachelor's degree. My industry experience helped push me into leadership positions in projects encountered during my time at SJSU. One of my favorite experiences was leading a team of engineers to develop a half-scale prototype transportation system, aka the "Spartan Superway". We were recognized as the first team in 6 years to develop a well-documented and functional system.After graduating, I continued my journey to become a Product Engineer and serve as a central technical resource interfacing with design engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and field teams.Now I also advocate for inclusion and diversity in the workspace as the co-chair of Konexión, KLA's Latinx employee resource group. We have established a foundation for annual scholarships, supported local academic organizations, and continue to improve employee education and engagement.
