Tillväxt&Tillsyn is a Swedish Think Tank for innovation and organizational development. We have been very successful in promoting new ideas and methods for a more effective and efficient inspections framework on both local, regional and national level. One of our innovations is soon to become national law and our main purpose is to create an inspections framework that promotes a sustainable economic- social- and environmental development. We work closely with the OECD and use the OECD-guidelines as a tool to promote a more sustainable development.

The Centre was founded in 1985 to give professional support in the rehabilitation of victims of torture and my main contribution is the modernisation of the organization and the development of new rehabilitation methods. We are now entering a new phase where the Centre is incorporated into the main body of the Swedish Red Cross. As a part of this a new research hub for clinical research on the treatment of torture victims will be created together with the Red Cross University College.

During my eight years on the Board I have been very involved in the structural re-organization and modernisation of the Swedish Red Cross. I have also been a link between the local, regional and national level in order to make all levels of the organization work better together. One of my special assignments have been the reformation and co-ordnation of the statutes and policies of the Swedish Red Cross.

Vansbro, Dalarna

Head of a municipal administration with 700 employees in the middle of Sweden. As the top executive I had strong focus on digitalization and information security and how to make use of new technology within the administration. I also took the executive decision to create a new digital platform which was launched in March 2019. I also promoted a more “trust based” leadership within the organization and arranged non- hierarchical cross section meetings with my staff.

Gnesta

Political office as Vice President of Gnesta City Council. Gnesta is a municipality in the middle of Sweden, approximately 70 kilometres south of Stockholm. My role was to represent the opposition parties when preparing the council meetings and lead the meetings together with the President representing the majority.

Working closely with the Confederation of Swedish Enterprises and the OECD to promote new ideas and methods for a more effective and efficient inspections framework. The Red Cross University College was founded in 1867 and is among the top colleges in Sweden with close links to the Red Cross Movement. My work on the Board was closely linked to the formulation of a new educational and financial strategy for the College and it has been very successful. The new research hub for clinical research on the treatment of torture victims that I have been promoting for some time will start operating during 2019.

As a Policy Advisor I worked closely with the Confederation of Swedish Enterprises and other stakeholders such as the OECD to promote less burdensome regulations, legal frameworks and inspection policies. In my role I also acted as advisor to the BIAC within the OECD and to the Swedish Government.

In order to avoid unnecessary burdensome regulations on business the task of the Swedish Better Regulation Council is to examine and evaluate proposed legislation and regulatory policies. The Council was created in November 2008 and I was recruited to join the Council staff from start due to my previous experience and legal knowledge within the field of simplification and regulatory reform.

The Swedish Government initiated a Regulatory Reform agenda in order to promote growth and reduce administration. The main focus of this agenda was the reduction of burdensome legislation for business and I was recruited to the Agency to manage three of the projects. We used the Dutch SCM-method in order to calculate the cost of administration to business within different areas of legislation. I was responsible for the areas of customs and trade, environment and telecom.

The Administrative Court of Stockholm have several different roles and one of them is the function of Migration Court as the previous Aliens Appeals Board (where I worked) was replaced by the Migration Court. The work as a Legal Advisor is to prepare cases and write a preliminary ruling. The most common cases referred to the Migration Court are appeals to change the ruling made by the Swedish Migration Agency. I reviewed appeals for asylum with focus on Africa, Middle East and the Balkan countries.

The Swedish Migration Agency make the first instance decision regarding applications for asylum, permanent residence and citizenship in Sweden. My job was to interview people seeking asylum in Sweden and write a preliminary ruling based on the information provided by the applicant and the situation in their country of origin.

Internship with the UNHCR regional office in Stockholm. One of my main contributions to the office was to review and improve the filing routines… I also participated in the big military exercise ”Viking” representing both UNHCR and the UN.
