Technical lead for all things DIWire and Engineering lead for Pensa. I develop accurate and affordable desktop CNC wire bending machines from concept to market, I am responsible for leading the R&D efforts and future developments. Applying my mechanical design and analysis skills to develop mechanisms, actuators, structures, custom tooling and accessories for our clients. I'm also responsible for coordinating our software development and manufacturing teams as well as interfacing and coordinating with contractors, vendors and manufacturers. As result of my work, our PRO machine has improved its capabilities and performance enabling the entry into new markets and significantly improving the user experience; our labor costs have been reduced by optimizing the design for manufacture and assembly and by the development of assembly fixtures and processes. Besides my daily engineering work, as the engineering lead for Pensa I'm also responsible for providing mentorship and advice to both the design and engineering teams, and for implementing engineering methodologies, processes and best practices to further advance our engineering practice. I'm responsible for managing client relationships, establishing close communication and translating customer needs into actionable requirements. I have been involved in the development of more than 30 products and been having a blast of a time.

Responsible for the R&D, engineering and life cycle management of the systems and tooling for the DIWire, the one and only desktop CNC wire bending machineAlso designing, prototyping, testing and delivering mechanical and electromechanical systems forproducts like a robotic trash chute, a vending machine, a stroller, a smart baby monitor and other consumer and industrial products across a range of markets, developing them from concept to production-ready.Managing client relationships and communications, and closely collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure client and customer input is translated into actionable requirements

I designed and developed custom drug delivery devices for the pharmaceutical market, developing four novel, mechanically-actuated reconstitution syringe platforms from concept to production-equivalent devices in record time. My work included mechanism design, material selection, prototyping, V&V testing, risk analysis (DFMEA, UFMEA), assembly fixture design and documentation for mass production (DFA, DFM).Also developed and ran the human factors engineering and usability strategy for both the reconstitution and auto-injector business units, and translated the results into engineering requirements to create unique and novel devices that provided a safe, confident and comfortable user experience.

As the Lead Fabrication Engineer, I'm responsible for the fabrication of earth-demonstration-level lunar rovers, it's payloads and peripheral systems.I've been responsible for the manufacturing, assembly and initial testing of the Polaris rover and the lunar excavator payload. Parts fabrication included working with composite materials and lightweight metals, and an extensive use of manual machining and 3 and 6 axis CNC machining.I've also been involved in the definition of the design requirements, the optimization of the mechanical design and CAD modelling.

HighGround is a company pioneering on the design and manufacture of gear and equipment for high-mobility urban activities such as parkour, rock climbing, graffiti and urban photography.In charge of new product development as well as strategy, planning and new business opportunities. I lead the development and launch of the Cocoon technical backpack series, targeted to the Mexican parkour market, and the expansion into the US market.
