My responsibilities within this role focus on strategic (re)positioning or development of troubled assets. After determination of the strategy I am responsible for the implementation through guiding the local teams and/or through building joined ventures. Focus areas are: 1) The Netherlands, 2) United Kingdom and 3) Germany. Within my portfolio are offices, development positions, hotels/serviced apartments, F&B and a retail center.

In my role as Asset Director, I was overlooking the performance of the Dutch portfolio of Klepierre and striving to maximize value. Assets under management: - Hoog Catharijne Shopping center- Alexandrium Shopping center- Markthal- Villa Arena- High street portfolio of retail in Almere

At Rubens Capital Partners my role included Fund Management as well as an (third-party) Asset Management. I am responsible for the strategic- and operational management of several closed-end funds as well as several open-end institutional funds. The funds consist of office, industrial, retail and logistics real estate throughout the Netherlands. In short my activities include:• accountability for the financial and operating performance of the assets;• determining and applying a competitive and pro-active management strategy;• reporting;• presenting strategy and results to stakeholders/shareholders;• overseeing all property level operating activities;• developing and executing leasing, capital and value-added investment strategies.• identifying new investment opportunities in all segments of the real estate market;• analysing investment opportunities and executing due diligence;• negotiating acquisition conditions of investment opportunities;• building a business case and preparing an investment memoranda;• attracting and negotiating portfolio-specific loans.

At DTZ I fulfilled several roles in my job as appraiser. Primarily, I focused on residential portfolio valuations for social housing companies. Later on, my role changed to coordinating loan appraisals for Banks such as the FGH bank, the ING bank and the ABN AMRO Bank. The focus was on internal control, deadline management, acquisition and quality control.
