I lead a team of multidisciplinary researchers, scientists and inventors serving a wide range of industries where complex problems require collaborative innovation anchored on first principles. Rockburst Technologies, a subsidiary of Envisioning Labs, is dedicated to the research, development and commercialization of the novel Transcritical CO2 Pulverization (tCO2) technology. tCO2 is a next-generation, energy-efficient rock comminution technique that aims to significantly reduce the energy consumed and GHG emissions during rock breakage in mining.

The Vancouver Corporate Innovation Group intends to network corporate innovators and intrapreneurs tasked with creating new products, services and experiences while challenging the established status quo and overcoming red tape. This initiative was born as a collaboration between Boeing and Envisioning Labs and expects to share best practices amongst its members to help accelerate corporate innovation, secure internal buy-in and deliver value to their respective organizations.

The Vancouver Innovation Las was established as a multidisciplinary community to discuss innovation trends and emerging technologies that has attracted professionals from a wide range of disciplines in the Metro Vancouver area. What began with a modest 15-people group, the community has grown exponentially with 800+ members as of May 2016.We have hosted innovation workshops and tech talks ranging from biohacking to social innovation, from genomics to augmented reality and everything in between. We continue hosting these talks on a monthly basis in conjunction with our partners (Microsoft and BrainStation).

Led an innovation and research team tasked with key strategic projects in support of R&D initiatives for customer service. Participated in the establishment the first "Innovation Labs" in this division and was active in side projects with The Garage, an internal hacking initiative. Projects included producing the first working prototype of a Windows 8 app for customer support, improving the user experience of static and automated support software and content including Office 365 and knowledge-base articles, developing one of the first support bots for MSN Messenger, and overseeing the production of envisioning videos depicting the Next Generation of Support Experience, to name a few.

Worked with the Chamber's Director to set up a 5-year digital strategy to increase membership and create revenue streams from advertising in traditional and social media. Managed independent vendors and coordinated creative agencies in the creation of promotional collaterals. Served as a creative consultant for the first online magazine for a Canadian Chamber of Commerce in China. Assisted with streamlining and improving information workflows and organizational procedures.

Coordinated the production of digital assets for a West African NGO (Ouaganet). Deliverables included the production of videos and design collaterals that were used in an a poverty-awareness campaign for villages in Burkina Faso.

Managed multiple projects from concept to delivery for diverse departments including Business Intelligence, Marketing and Corporate Communications. Directed a v-team of 30 across three business units and managed independent vendors for external projects. Collaborated with an international team of experts in the implementation of a company-wide continuos improvement program (lean concepts) raking savings of RMB1.8M annually. Assisted the Strategy VP with quarterly forecasts and recommended courses of action.

Assisted in revamping the value proposition and business plan of the largest social network for expats in China. Helped the leadership team set a new vision for the company and introduced new market offerings based on customer segmentation and market intelligence. Membership increased twofold in a 12-month period, and a continuous source of revenue through online advertising and VIP cards resulted after plan implementation.

Provided innovation consulting, business strategy and online marketing services to diverse clients across several industries including multinational companies, non-governmental organizations and startups
. Sample of projects include: planning and implementing the deployment of the first Android app that replaced paper menus in one of the busiest hotels in Shanghai, developing a digital fundraising campaign for a West African NGO that aided in stimulating the local economy, and setting up the vision and overall business strategy for a location-based social app targeting Top 500 companies.
