From a history of adversity and challenges, I have emerged as an advocate for mental health and holistic care, driven by personal experiences and professional dedication. From overcoming a tumultuous childhood marked by addiction and mental health challenges, I've journeyed to become an embodiment of resilience, hope, and tenacity. My unique lived experiences have enriched me with a deep-seated empathy and commitment to represent and uplift those in similar situations.Professionally, I'm deeply involved in the mental health sector, with experience in group facilitation and a special understanding of neurodiversity. My role as a peer employment specialist has seen me championing best practices in rehab services and working to the values of recovery in a trauma informed way. I am now an Advanced Lived Experience practitioner, and hold the borough of Hillingdon, championing person centred holistic care and service improvments. Additionally, I hold the honor of sitting on a panel with the Royal College of Psychiatrists, aiding in the formation of accreditations for community mental health services, and I'm also the proud chair of the neurodiversity group within CNWL.I' co-organise a support initiative for the LGBTQ+ neurodiverse community, emphasizing the importance of inclusive mental health care. Today my mission is to leverage my blend of lived experiences and professional expertise to effect positive change in mental health services. Let's connect and collaborate to create a world where mental health care is compassionate, inclusive, and driven by a blend of experience and expertise.
