Coordinator for the training of new welders. Must pass SAE Weld Tests in order for vehicle to compete at competition. Also responsible for general non-Welding manufacturing knowledge, manufacturing training, and manufacturing safety, including: Programming (CAM) and operation of HAAS CNC tooling Use and training in the use of angle grinders, tube benders, hole saws, etc. for the profiling of tubing Use and training in the use of manual machining tooling Ensuring all welding workholding/jigging methods are safe, non-toxic (not plastic) and effectively fixture welding pieces Acting as an advisor to all other subteams and subteam leads regarding the manufacturability of their designs and components
