Oscar is a highly acclaimed Modern Language (Spanish) Teacher who came to fill the Middle School’s need for a Computer Teacher and Technology Coach. Oscar says that teaching language and social media is what he does. I find it hard to describe him in such simple terms because he stays aware and is so well versed in all sorts of bleeding-edge technologies. Oscar has an insatiable curiosity for most things technical. His tenacity, curiosity and energy are contagious and his students love it! As the Technology Coach, Oscar uses technology as mortar between the bricks of all other disciplines. His responsibility was primarily to assit the Division's efforts in developing one of our programs for online delivery. I worked particulalrly close with Oscar in the development of the 1 week orientation session for the program and Oscar did a tremendous job. Evaluations of the orientation have been very positive and students comment frequently of how well it helped them meet their classmates.
