Oscar A. Viquez R. Email and Phone Number
I am an ocean acoustics and marine autonomy specialist, with a strong inclination for new challenges and problem-solving. My work revolves around robotic platforms for research applications. I have conducted engineering work in the Gulf of Mexico, and deployed Autonomous Surface and Underwater Vehicles (ASVs, AUVs) in a variety of settings, stretching from the Charles River Basin and Massachusetts Bay, to the Arctic Ocean.I also have an interest in cybersecurity and networking infrastructure. What started as a hobby early on, has led me to manage different types of servers throughout my various roles, supporting data sharing in office environments or code development and distribution repositories for research teams. Other past projects I've worked on have related to robotic soccer, marine propulsion, and precision machine design.
